Oprah is the Anti-Christ

Oh…I said it jokingly throughout the years when many conversations turned to end-times or the anti-christ. When people had theories about Bush or any number of other people, I always piped in with my Oprah Winfrey joke.

With her t.v. show, her movie career, her bookclub, her magazine, and her philanthropic efforts; she’s got so much going on, you can’t possibly miss her. She’s THE most influential woman in the United States and possibly the world. (“…the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; “ – Rev 13:3)

She’s been endeared to millions with her intimate and emotional style on television, her personal issues (including her public weight-loss battle), and her constant do-gooding. The vast majority adore the woman…some idolize the woman and hang on her every word. Every book on her book club list is gonna make it to best-seller. Why? Oprah said so. Oprah changes and influences culture. Is this dangerous? I say yes.

“And I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him; and he went out conquering, and to conquer.” – Revelation 6:2

To me, a white horse represents someone who will at least “appear” good. I think all of us who have read about the anti-christ in the bible; have the impression that the anti-christ will fool many people. (and maybe even him-or-herself!)

“…For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds”.- 2 Cor 11:3-15

She is considered a spiritual leader by many, and is outspoken about her religious/spiritual beliefs.

“…there was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies;” – Revelation 13:5

Oprah has a controversial self-help program called The Secret, that has received much criticism. It claims that you can change your life with positive thought (a common new-age principle) and “following your heart”. Critics tout that this is dangerous and trivializes and demoralizes decisions in one’s life and suggest that Winfrey is “irresponsible given her influence.” She is quoted as saying, during a four city tour called “Live Your Best Life” wherein she preaches her belief system, “The universe is speaking to you right now, in the voice of Oprah Winfrey.”

Do you trust someone who says this? Because,frankly, I don’t.

I only picked certain scriptures to relay this message because I didn’t want this to run too long. You can certainly go look up scripture yourself and I encourage you to look up more sites that discuss her being a possible candidate for anti-christ. There are some that are amusing/entertaining and some more serious. There are also many sites that discuss her new age agenda, including this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW4LLwkgmqA (which I felt the need to include because it relayed a bit of her influence as well, but I do not agree with the video 100% because it’s mostly Christian propaganda.)

The statement I make is not a 100% serious one, but it makes you think doesn’t it?

***EDIT: I forgot another point I was going to make in the rush to hurry up and post…There are many who say that Obama is the anti-christ. I suppose this is possible. I’ve been hearing it a lot, before and after the actual election.

Perhaps, Oprah (one of his most outspoken supporters), is getting this guy in office so that America will be used to the idea…so that SHE can run for office. A half-black male would be easier to get into office than a black female, right? Is this what she’s leading up to? Oprah 2012? Oops, I said the magic year…
