Something For Everybody: The NEW DEVO ALBUM!

When I heard that a great musical influence of mine, DEVO, had come out with a new album; I was skeptical. I thought to myself that either A: It would suck because it would sound like old DEVO and be too dated, OR, B: It would sound too modern and not be the DEVO that I know and love. I WAS WRONG.

From the first song, titled “FRESH”, I was sucked in.  The first song has an apt title because while this album has enough of the old DEVO sounds to keep the fans happy; it has something “fresh” to bring in a few new fans.

My favorite track is “Please Baby Please” because it’s the best dance track.  SO catchy.

Lyrically, my favorite track is “Mind Games”.

Some other favorites are “Human Rocket”, “Sumthin”, and off the deluxe version of the album; “Knock Boots“.

I insist (especially if you are a fan of classic DEVO!) that you give this whole album a listen.  There isn’t a song that I dislike.
